‘Vlog like a pro’: competition winner – public vote

In 2017, we asked our Early Career Researchers to create some ‘vlog’ style content, describing their experiences with MeDe Innovation such as secondments, collaborative projects and funding opportunities.
We received 7 entries uploaded to YouTube, and ran a competition to find the best content as voted by both the public and our Executive board.
Our YouTube channel received over 6000 collective views!
Videos were judged on:

• creativity
• impact
• public appeal

It was a close competition for a while, but with over 800 likes (and counting), ‘Novel Biosynthetic Biomaterial for Tissue Engineering Applications’ was declared as the winner by the public.

This was a collaborative effort between Dr Farshid Sefat (Theme 2A), Dr Piergiorgio Gentile (Theme 2B) and Dr Ana Marina Ferreira (Theme 2B), and the video received great feedback when showcased at our Annual Conference on 18th January 2018.
Huge congratulations to the team, and to all our researchers for their entries, we hope they will to continue to make engaging content in the future.
