Partner news: Simpleware release latest version of award-winning software
September 23, 2016
Exeter-based company Simpleware, part of Synopsys Inc., have released the latest version of its award-winning 3D image data visualisation, analysis and model generation software. Version 2016.09 includes many new features for users working in areas such as the Life Sciences, Materials and Industrial Non-Destructive Testing.
Simpleware software enables 3D image data taken from sources such as MRI and CT scanners to be converted into high-quality computational models, with many options available for visualising, analysis and preparing models for simulation, 3D printing and other applications. Software users in the Life Sciences, for example, can generate models from human anatomies for combination with Computer-aided Design (CAD) drawings of medical implants.
The new release of Simpleware includes enhancements to the software’s user interface, integration of modules, and range of image processing, mesh generation and analysis tools. Dr. Philippe Young, Simpleware R&D Director, commented on the benefits of the release:
“With this new release, Simpleware continues its pioneering course in providing innovative tools to enable the processing and analysis of industrial and medical image data and to facilitate the integration with CAD/CAE tools”
The new release comes at an exciting time for Simpleware, with the company having been acquired by Synopsys Inc., the world’s sixteenth largest software company, in March 2016.
