Manufacturing the Future: Call for Investigator-Led Research Projects

Manufacturing the Future: Call for Investigator-Led Research Projects

September 15, 2014

The EPSRC Manufacturing the Future challenge theme invites investigator-led proposals which address key research challenges facing manufacturing in the UK today and in the future.
Although there is officially no closing date and proposals can be submitted at any time, batching dates have been identified at roughly six-month intervals in order to manage the assessment of the proposals. The next batching dates are 27 February 2015 and 31 August 2015. The Manufacturing the Future theme has prioritised funding to support investigator-led research projects in manufacturing, with an annual budget in the order of £5 million.
First grants as well as standard research proposals are invited. All proposals will be assessed in accordance with standard EPSRC procedure and prioritised within the most appropriate capability theme panel (i.e. Engineering, ICT, Physical Sciences or Mathematics). Prioritisation Panels are held throughout the year, with typically 4-5 panels/year.
