EPSRC is inviting proposals for EPSRC Fellowships in Manufacturing, with a closing date of 14 May 2015.
In this fifth call EPSRC is looking to support a number of EPSRC Fellowships in Manufacturing who have the potential to be future research leaders in their field in Manufacturing research, supporting either academics who have recently moved from industry, or people in industry, involved in innovation, looking to move into academia. The aim is to offer up to five years of support for suitable candidates who not only have an appropriate background but can also articulate their vision for utilising their industrial experience to inform their future research direction.
To apply for an EPSRC Fellowship in Manufacturing, you should have the potential to develop into an international research leader with the ability to set and drive new research agendas that have a potential transformative impact on manufacturing industries, by the end of the award. This call is aimed at individuals with potential to develop into international leaders.
EPSRC expectations for EPSRC Fellows in Manufacturing include:

  • Research should have a transformative impact on the manufacturing industries through the translation of world-class science and engineering.
  • A change of culture within academia by transferring best practice in industry to academia.
  • Applicants will develop into future leaders in the academic world.
