MeDe Innovation ‘Ask the Expert’: Stratified bioprocesses for the manufacture of acellular biological scaffolds

Date: April 16, 2018

Location: NHSBT, Speke, Liverpool

This event will provide an overview of research undertaken on the development of decellularised human tissues for clinical use through a collaboration between NHS Blood & Transplant Tissue & Eye Service (NHS BT TES) and the University of Leeds.
There will be an opportunity to gain an insight into the day to day processes that are carried out by NHS BT TES in procurement, storage and supply of human tissue allografts to the NHS in the UK and the processes undertaken to take research from the laboratory to clinical application.
Delegates will gain understanding of the regulations that govern undertaking research and development of GMP manufacturing processes for decellularised human tissues from the perspective of the human tissue authority.
There will be an opportunity for delegates to register for a guided tour of the human tissue bank.
