Manufacture of Bulk and Porous microspheres
Capability Description
Very recent developments at Nottingham have resulted in creation of a Platform Technology for manufacture of microspheres from glass, glass-ceramic and ceramics.
Case Study
This work resulted from internal EPSRC Proof-of-Concept funds and has been scaled-up via a recent award from the Leeds IKC-PoC scheme. This work has enabled manufacture of microspheres from a wide range of materials and formulations with potential use in a wide range of applications – especially as medical devices.
