Biocomposite Manufacture
Capability Description
UoN has extensive experience of manufacturing resorbable biocomposites reinforced with glass and glass-fibres within Composites Research Group. There are facilities for high pressure composite production via laminate stacking and heat pressing and also autoclave manufacture. At Nottingham we also have vast mechanical testing facilities.
Case Study
Recent work conducted on manufacturing resorbable fracture fixation plates have been tested in vivo for up to one year.
