‘Ask the Expert’: Bioprinting and Biofabrication
Thursday 8th June 2017, 1.30pm-5pm
Room 2.22, Research Beehive, 1st Floor Old Library Building, Newcastle University

Cell printing, cell/material co-processing and 3D bioprinting are growing research areas, with a range of techniques available with the potential to create and complex cell co-cultures, and pre-seeded tissue engineering scaffolds with gradient mechanical and biological properties.  However, challenges remain in the productivity, reliability and repeatability of the techniques.  This workshop will give an overview of the current research and commercial processing techniques, and offer attendees the opportunity to discuss the technologies with engineers and scientists who work with the techniques on a day-to-day basis.
The workshop will be useful for attendees who are curious about bioprinting and biofabrication, for attendees planning to use bioprinting and biofabrication in the future, and for those already using bioprinting and biofabrication techniques but who want to broaden their knowledge.

The Research Beehive is located on the 1st floor of the Old Library Building (no 25 on the campus map).

The first of our ‘Ask the Expert’ series takes place on Thursday 8th June at Newcastle University. This session will be focused on bioprinting and biofabricaton.
There is no charge for this event, however, should you be unable to attend please cancel your ticket giving us as much notice as possible.
