Early Career Researcher opportunity: Newton Researcher Links Workshop in China 6-8 December

June 9, 2016

Under the British Council Researcher Links scheme within the Newton Fund, the University of Bradford and Sichuan University will be holding a workshop ‘Healthcare Technologies for Aging Populations’ in Sichuan University, Chengdu, China on 6-8 December 2016.
The workshop will provide a unique opportunity for sharing research expertise and networking. During the workshop Early Career Researchers will have the opportunity to present their research in the form of a poster/short oral presentation and discuss this with established researchers from the UK and partner countries. There will be a focus on building up links for future collaborations. Participants are selected on the basis of their research potential and ability to build longer term links.
Around 17 UK early career researchers will have the opportunity to travel to China for the workshop, funded by this British Council award.  Successful candidates will be selected by a committee at the University of Bradford.
The British Council and NSFC of China will cover the costs related to participation in the workshop, including: travel (international and local), accommodation and meals. Costs for the visa will be covered; however participants will be responsible for making all the necessary visa arrangements.
Early Career Researchers from the UK are encouraged to apply and further details can be found on the University of Bradford website.
The deadline for applications has now been extended to 31st July.
