Location: The Future Metrology Hub, University of Huddersfield

The Future Metrology Hub based at the University of Huddersfield is running a two day Surface Metrology School from Wednesday 18th to Thursday 19th October. The school will form an introduction to the basics of surface metrology, ideal for staff, students and researchers working in fields allied to metrology such as machining, finishing and quality control.
The course will consist of a mixture of classroom learning and practical demonstrations. Topics covered will include the principles of metrology, surface characterisation and Geometric Product Specification (GPS) along with practical demonstration of contact and non-contact measurement methods (attendees may bring their own artefacts to measure).
