Micro Manufacturing Road Mapping Workshop

Micro Manufacturing Road Mapping Workshop

Date: April 22, 2015

Location: Cranfield University

The EPSRC Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Ultra Precision are holding a free to attend Micro Manufacturing Road Mapping Workshop at Cranfield University on Wednesday 22nd April 2015.
The purpose of the workshop is to identify opportunities for the UK micro manufacturing community and to consider what research or development work is required to enable the UK to maintain a competitive presence in this relatively new field of manufacturing.  The workshop will be led by Nicky Athanassopoulou, Industrial Fellow at the Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge (the University of Cambridge is the Centre’s lead partner).  This will ensure a completely neutral guidance of the workshop and Nicky is extremely well versed in doing these events for many different industries.
All delegates will receive the output document 6 months in advance of publication on our website.  Previous road mapping workshop reports can be found on the Ultra Precision website.  Each report is unique to the topic under discussion and the direction the participants dictate for the topic, hence may produce different results from previous workshops.  For example, the Centre is looking to gain a better insight into the value of micro manufacturing at this event by using value mapping techniques and opportunity identification.
Places are limited to a total of 20, so if you are interested and wish to contribute to what will be viewed as the UK’s perspective on micro manufacturing, please register online to reserve your place.
You will be supplied with some material prior to the event to help the day flow more easily, and to aid anyone who has never participated in this type of workshop before.
