Computer modelling over the length scales of biomedical polymers and composites

Capability Description

Finite element modelling including modelling of nanoscale, through to meso scale using representative volume elements and simulation technologies to achieve macroscopic scale prediction for material or product performance.  This is complemented by extensive image analysis capabilities e.g. for nanofilled materials.

Case Study

Prediction of properties of nanocomposites including mechanical and electrical (depending on nanofillers), and stress/ strain performance of simple or complex geometry products.
